“Stay Present.” This is a phrase I repeat to myself often as life tends to pull and distract and the future and past beg for attention. “You’re not there now” is a phrase we use often in the studio as a reminder to be here. Now. in this moment, with it’s simplicity and beauty.
I began painting in this style after the birth of my youngest child when it felt like the whole world was expanding in nourishment and lush generosity. The layers and layers of color and shades and textures that build the rich earth and grasses.
May it bring endless nourishment and peace to you and your home.
