"Always Notice the Glimmers," 18x24, An Original Oil Painting
I created this painting in the depths of the winter – the first piece I created in January of 2024. I needed the reminder that there is light and hope and vibrance to be felt. Painting is one of the most tangible ways I can both feel that warmth for myself and share it with you.
Perhaps we need that same ray of hope and light today.
“Always notice the glimmers” is a phrase that has been rolling around my mind (often when things feel the most dark or difficult) and is a nudge to remember that there is beauty and joy to be found everywhere and in each situation. Not to be annoyingly optimistic, but honest. It's true. In the dark, the little bits of light you find are precious, sacred, a lifeline. The metaphor has carried me through many challenging days, reminding me of the light I hold within.
