"A Place of Belonging" Mixed Media On Wood

My love of balance, design, nature, and art comes together in this series of collage artwork I created from 2012-2017. The process of gathering elements and evolving them until the art emerged fascinated me. This piece is rooted in a cyanotype print I created on a warm summer afternoon, which I then combined with papers, string, clay, and fabric on a piece of walnut wood from my grandfather’s wood shop.
