The first time I created a cyanotype print was in 2015 with a group of earthy women. We were all braving the southern humidity on a hot spring day — gleeful and wild with the magic at our fingertips. Rinne Allen was leading the workshop, and her mastery and passion were contagious.
Every summer thereafter, my kids and I go to a river, dance in the humid air, and create these magical blue botanical pieces. Cyanotypes have been an anchor in my practice ever since; the basis of two past collections, including this one!
