Always Growing II - 22x30 Oil Painting

I created this painting (an oil painting on oil paper—fascinating mediums I’m obsessed with and need to return to!) when my last baby was beginning to crawl. I remember thinking that everything was growing too quickly. The studio window being taken over by my favorite climbing vine, the child I used to hold in my arms for hours now wanting freedom, my own heart outgrowing its chest.

(“Always Growing 1” has been on my mantle since 2018, and this sister piece belongs on yours!)

22×30 inches on oil paper. There is a crease down the center of this paper, which I love. It lies fully flat, but I bought this paper in Europe, and the crease from travel is still visible. Enjoy the lore.
