“The Joy That Waited

SOFTNESS

NURTURING

“The Joy That Waited”

Soft light gathers slowly here.
Not as a rush, not as a celebration that arrives too soon,
but as peace that is earned, patient, and steady.

A COMMISSIONED PAINTING

Inspired by earlier years spent seeking peace under dancing skies and near water. This piece holds the feeling of open skies and coastal water

Soft peaches and rose tones move through the sky, appearing gently — the way joy often does, after patience and perseverance.

“The Joy That Waited”
30x40, oil on canvas

Created to live as a focal point in a light-filled space, this painting brings the outside in.

A place for the eyes to rest.
For the body to soften.
For joy to feel safe and familiar.

My own joy comes from this work, my family, but also in art and music. when I return home from a long day, I want to feel safe, comfortable, and have a reminder of Joy.

A Note from the Studio

The underpainting for this piece was created with my son, his brushstrokes adding movement and joy in the earliest stages. Even though you can't see them in the final piece, the energy and joy is in the canvas still.

May this painting remind you that joy takes its time.
And when it arrives, it lingers, gently revealing that it has always been there.

It has been an honor to commemorate your connection with yourself, your home, and your intention in this landscape.
