Quiet Adventure, II: Let It Warm You (30x40)
I created this piece while in recovery from complete burnout. I ran away to the beach, oil paints and plein air set in tow. I turned on the music, opened the doors and windows wide, and painted until I forgot what tiredness was. Isn’t it amazing when creativity gives back to you in this way? I’ve kept this piece in my studio since then as a reminder — but now I feel like someone else might need this reminder as well. Is it you?
Rest. breathe deeply. Know that you are exactly where you need to be. You have all the resources and abilities you need to grow. You are full of good. Peace is worth pursuing.

Oil stained canvas is built layer by layer until a landscape emerges — glowing and complex. This piece is absolutely gorgeous and seems to radiate light and tremendous feelings of peace.
