It was a honestly a surprise when these paintings seemed to pour out of my brushes over a span of two week. I only intended to create the collection of signature ornaments for the holidays, but inspiration had other plans, I guess! And here we are with a whole fresh collection of my first ever landscapes on ceramic!

I spent the warm transitions from this summer into autumn over my kitchen stove, bundle-dying with botanicals, pigments silks and flower petals…

Nature holds continuous inspiration, and these landscape paintings began with rough sketching of skies and land while enveloped in the evening, and a pigmented unfolding of the drama and gentleness found in nature. I created these paintings in the midst of the energy of the holiday season— the chaos and joy. There is a beautifully evolving creative process in the seasons, and each of these nine heartfelt original paintings are by-products of this beauty.
