Emily Jeffords Studio is hiring a Studio Assistant!

Help manage the day-to-day studio tasks, including printing, packaging, shipping, artwork handling, and customer care.

This is a hands-on, in-studio role for someone who finds joy in systems, tactile work, and being part of a calm, intentional, art-centered environment.

The Studio Assistant plays a key role in maintaining a steady, well-supported week-to-week flow, allowing creative energy to stay focused where it matters most — in the art itself.

About the Role

The Studio Assistant is primarily responsible for:

  • Printing fine art prints

  • Packaging and shipping orders

  • Maintaining studio flow and order timelines

  • Supporting collectors with thoughtful, timely service

  • Caring for the physical studio and its systems

  • Working closely with Emily, who oversees studio operations and workflow

In-studio position

Greenville, SC


You will be responsible for ensuring artwork moves through the studio with care, consistency, and timeliness. 

Print Production & Studio Flow

  • Prepare print files

  • Print and cut fine art prints with care

  • Perform basic printer maintenance and upkeep

  • Carefully varnish prints when needed

  • Keep print production organized, clean, and efficient

Order Fulfillment & Shipping

  • Package prints, originals, and products according to studio guidelines

  • Ship all orders within established timelines

  • Manage shipping through ShipStation

  • Track orders and proactively resolve issues when they arise

  • Maintain a weekly shipping and fulfillment rhythm so orders flow consistently

Inventory & Supplies

  • Maintain a working inventory of prints, packaging, and shipping supplies

  • Flag low inventory and assist with reordering in a timely manner

  • Keep the studio organized, stocked, and clean

Customer Support

  • Respond to customer emails with warmth, clarity, and professionalism

  • Follow studio protocols for communication, replacements, and care

  • Keep customer issues organized so nothing falls through the cracks

Projects & Seasonal Support

  • Assist with print releases and limited collections

  • Continue relationships with designers, wholesale clients, licensing partners, and consultants alongside Emily

  • Support print subscription fulfillment when applicable

  • Provide occasional backend or studio support for retreats, workshops, or launches as needed

This position is best for someone who enjoys hands-on, detail-oriented work, works independently, is careful with small details, asks thoughtful questions early, and feels at ease in both quiet rhythms and more energetic seasons.

  • You will be expected to manage your tasks and manage orders with minimal oversight or direct management once trained and comfortable in your role.

  • This is a W2 part-time position. Workloads vary naturally with releases and seasons, with some weeks quieter and others busier. I’ll do my best to help estimate the workflow in advance.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Comfortable with physical studio work (standing, lifting boxes, & repetitive tasks)

  • Comfortable with technology (you will be using and trained in how to use ShipStation, Squarespace, and Adobe as well as others)

  • Calm energy, detail-oriented, and reliable

  • Appreciation for art, process, and craftsmanship

Position Details

  • Role: Studio Assistant (Print & Fulfillment)

  • Compensation: $24/hour

  • Hours: Part-time

    • Regular Weekly Flow: 10-15 hours

    • Busy Season and the around bigger launches: 20-35 hours (mapped out in advance)

  • Location: In-studio in Greenville, SC

  • Schedule: Flexible hours, consistent weekly rhythm, with added hours during releases
